Andrew Rovinsky is a senior from Atlanta, Georgia, concentrating in international and public affairs and history. If you ever talk to Andrew, he is sure to mention his Letterboxd account, where he obsessively rates and reviews movies. In his free time he is also an avid reader of history and politics, about which he tends to annoy his friends with long-winded tangents about nationalism. His favorite Jewish food is simply the latke, and if the Ratty has them, you will see at least four on his plate.

Avi is a junior from Amherst, Massachusetts concentrating in international and public affairs. In his free time he loves playing and watching basketball, playing guitar, and playing poker (he swears it’s not a gambling addiction). Be sure not to ask him about whether or not there can be a fundamental truth in the universe, as this is sure to get you into a rambling conversation that you don’t remember why you started. His favorite Jewish food is matzah brei, a Passover classic.

Adam Orlow is a senior from Atlanta, Georgia concentrating in environmental engineering. In his free time, when he is not playing sports or being disappointed in his favorite teams, he can be found cooking or hiking. His favorite Jewish food is brisket, which you can find him making every Passover.

Sonya is a second-year from Odesa, Ukraine (and Bethesda, MD) studying anthropology and data science. Sonya loves cooking and baking, reading—don’t get her started on Virginia Woolf—and taking long nature walks. Her favorite Jewish food to eat and make is challah, especially the sweet crumble one!

Jenna is a first-year concentrating in geology and biology. She is from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, but she tells people she is from “outside Philadelphia” because she doesn’t like to specify. Her favorite activity is weight lifting, and she can often be found at Andrew’s getting the same sandwich for lunch every day. She likes going on field trips, her Jewish a capella group (the Alef Beats!), and taking her daily 2–3 hour nap. Her favorite Jewish food is rugelach from Marzipan, a shop in Jerusalem.

Daniel is a junior double concentrating in political science and urban studies. He is from Miami, Florida; however, if you merely state that he is from Florida he will take serious offense as he believes Miami is its own sovereign landmass. In his free time, Daniel enjoys spending time with friends at “The Cone,” being involved in Brown’s Chabad and Hillel Jewish communities, and provoking arguments about social policy.

Ella is a junior at RISD majoring in graphic design. She is from the San Francisco Bay Area and likes to act like a tourist and try a new breakfast burrito spot every time she returns home. Ella enjoys wandering streets and/or trails aimlessly and loves to swim in the ocean. Ella generously applies horseradish and loves baking and eating macaroons.
